Are you interested in learning about artistic design and flower shows?


Flower Show School is a series of four courses that covers the principles of floral design as well as fundamentals of plant life. Training is given in judging design and horticulture.  Courses may be taken in any order and may be attended by any garden club member. 

After successful completion of the four courses and after passing the reading exam, a member may become an accredited judge.


FSS is open to all.  You may attend a single session or entire course.

Flower Show Procedure & Horticulture: Sue Kirkman will be teach flower show procedure as well as horticulture on hollies and amaryllis.

Design:  Judy Binns will be discussing functional and exhibition table designs as well as petite designs.


Monday, February 26

3:45 – 6 pm    Flower Show Procedure


Tuesday, February 27

8:45 am – 3:30 pm   Horticulture

4 – 6 pm    Point Scoring Test


Wednesday, February 28

8:45 am – 3:30 pm     Design

4 – 6 pm Point Scoring Test


Thursday, March 1

9 am – 12 noon Written Examination
