Christmas Homes Tour

istmas Homes Tour, presented by the Green Spring Garden Club, Inc., will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  This year's Homes Tour will feature five sites, all of which will be beautifully decorated with seasonal floral designs.  Three homes are located in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's Historic Area:  the Robert Carter House, Unicorn’s Horn, and Timson House.  The Colonial Williamsburg Stable also will be on the tour.  A fourth home, the Reeves residence, is located near the Historic Area.  These private homes will be open to the public just for this one special day. 

     
Tour tickets are available only through Green Spring Garden Club.  Advance tickets are recommended.  To order tickets by mail from September 15 – November 15, and to find more detailed information on tour houses, visit the Garden Club’s website.  Tickets will be available from garden club members at the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center and Williamsburg Lodge on Friday, November 30th, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Saturday December 1st, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Tickets will also be sold at each house during tour hours.  Only cash and checks will be accepted at these locations.  Tickets are $30 per person in advance and $35 per person on Friday, November 30, and Saturday, December 1;  $10 per person to tour a single location.  Advance ticket order forms will be ready for download in September.

Tickets include free parking at the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center and use of Foundation buses from the Visitor Center and around the Revolutionary City.  The Green Spring Garden Club Christmas Homes Tour is scheduled to coincide with Colonial Williamsburg's Grand Illumination weekend December 1-2, 2018.   Inquiries may be sent to:  Green Spring Garden Club.


 

HOW TO LIST YOUR EVENT


The Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs website is pleased to list on its website any event sponsored in any way by a member club, school or council.

If a VFGC member club is sponsoring an event, whether it is a plant sale, Standard Flower Show, wildflower seminar or meeting, please send the information to us and we'll list your event on this calendar. The information should include:

  1.   Event name

  2. Sponsoring garden club (including president's name and address)

  3. Event location, event date(s) and time(s)

  4. Any information about the event (i.e., special highlights, interesting classes, anything you think is unusual, etc.

  5. Admission fee

  6. If event is open to the public

  7. Contact name and telephone number or e-mail address to be published on website

Your information should be sent at least 4 weeks in advance. We may be in touch with you for further information before we post your event on our site.
